Summary: A complaint filed by current and former 3M Corp. employees alleges age discrimination in violation of the Minnesota Human Rights Act. The complaint “alleges that 3M has intentionally discriminated against employees older than 45 in performance appraisals, training, promotions and pay since at least 2001.” Sprenger & Lang partner Susan Coler said that 3M’s selection of few persons older than 45 for Six Sigma Black Belts training gives younger employees career advantages.
